“The social physics that is emerging brings together branches of economics, sociology, and psychology. Along with network complexity, decision, and ecology sciences and fuses them together using big data. By creating social systems that look beyond aggregates such as markets, classes and parties, and instead examining the detailed patterns of idea exchanges, I show how we can begin to build a society that is better at avoiding market crashes, ethnic and religious violence, political stalemates, widespread corruption, and dangerous concentrations of power.”
